Business Confederation of Macedonia is one of the partners of EU project Tourism is people “Working together for strong Social Dialogue in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.
The main goal of the project is strengthening the capacities of the social partners for contributing to social dialogue on national and European level. Also, this project will increase the awareness of national employers and workers representatives about the importance of this process in increasing the employment and competitiveness on the labour market, skill and qualifications, job quality and decent work.reght
Main activities that will be realized in the following two years are: 6 bilateral meetings; 6 national panel discussions on social dialogue in the tourism sector and modernization of the labour market; study tour to Brussels with the purpose of exchanging know-how and experience; national workshops to identify the elements necessary to allow the social partners to be a part of the European social dialogue including a negotiation seminar; creating a publication with manual on social dialogue and collective bargaining in the TH sector; final conference with a press conference on social dialogue in the tourism and hospitality industry on national and European level.
On the 4th of February with the kick-off meeting in Ljubljana, began the project “Tourism is people” financed by the European Union. Leader of the project is the Association of Employers of Slovenia (ZDS), while associations of employers as well as trade unions from Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia are partners in the project.
On the meeting the main goals, activities and responsibilities of the partners were presented. Also a discussion took place about the present condition of the social dialogue in the TH sector in each of the partner countries.
