Through direct and immediate meetings with companies from Tetovo, the Business Confederation of Macedonia will improve business opportunities and perspectives of small and medium local companies. At their meeting held in Tetovo were presented individual problems and challenges faced by companies in this region. Based on the findings and conclusions, priorities and finding specific solutions will be set to improve the business climate in Macedonia and the creation of sustainable business
“For us, as a confederation which represents the interests of the business community in Macedonia, these direct meetings with business partners are extremely important. In this way we, with standing on the ground, conversations and debates, immediately hear companies from micro, small and medium growth what problems they are facing and with what obstacles they are encountered in their development plans. The more elaborate and detailed they are in their statements, the more we can be efficient in finding solutions. Based on everything they say, we propose reforms, legislative changes, economic strategies that would provide better working conditions, “said Mile Boskov, president of the Business Confederation of Macedonia.
In order to overcome the problems faced by companies, the Business Confederation of Macedonia prepared a draft platform of policies and strategies based on the most problematic areas in the work of business entities. “Rule of Law”, “Access to Finance”, “Entrepreneurial Culture” , “Fair Competition” and “Enabling Legal and Regulatory Environment” are the titles of these platforms.
The creation of policy proposals as well as the organization of this event is supported by the project “Promoting social dialogue”, financed by the European Union and implemented by the International Labor Organization. After meeting with entrepreneurs from Kavadarci – Negotino and Ohrid – Struga region, this is the third meeting of the Business Confederation of Macedonia with local companies. Direct meetings with the business community will continue with promotional events in several cities which will include many owners, entrepreneurs and managers in order to improve the business climate in the country.
