“This is already our second meeting with local companies from certain regions of the country. Despite some problems and challenges that everyone is facing equally, with this kind of direct meetings and conversations we can put aside obstacles that are typical for different services and manufacturing sectors. Given the industrial activity, which is mostly used in Ohrid – Struga region, the problems of entrepreneurs of these companies are distinguished by their specificity, and their requirements and priorities are defined on the basis of the sector where they belong. It gives us guidance and accurate benchmarks where to act, what to do, also benchmarks for creating conditions for better and smooth development together with the local business community.” said Mile Boskov, president of the Business Confederation of Macedonia.

In order to overcome the problems faced by the companies,  Business Confederation of Macedonia prepared a draft platform of policies and strategies based on the most problematic areas in the work of business entities. Rule of law, access to finance, entrepreneurial culture, fair competition and enabling legal and regulatory environment titles on these platforms.

The creation of policy proposals and the organization of the event is supported by the project “Promoting social dialogue”, financed by the European Union and implemented by the International Labor Organization. Business Confederation of Macedonia continues with promotional events and meeting with local companies in several cities which will include many owners, entrepreneurs and managers in order to improve the business climate in the country.
