Business Confederation Macedonia held a business meeting with companies from the Negotino-Kavadarci region

What are the priorities, expectations and solutions for improving the business climate in Macedonia are the issues on which entrepreneurs and representatives of micro, small and medium companies from Kavadarci – Negotino discussed on the business meeting held by the Business Confederation of Macedonia. Representatives of the companies presented the problems faced daily in creating sustainable business operations and ensuring a future for their companies.

As a national body that represents the interests of the business community in Macedonia, we are taking all possible steps to give our support to the entrepreneurship of micro, small and medium enterprises and thus provide better conditions for work. It includes reforms, legislative changes, and economic strategies. This meeting is towards companies telling us directly what they are facing and what their obstacles to eliminating development and general operation are. Based on their experiences and depositions we can act and contribute appropriately to creating a favorable business environment across all industry sectors and levels of efficiency, “said Mile Boskov, president of the Business Confederation of Macedonia.

In order to overcome the problems faced by companies, the Business Confederation of Macedonia prepared a platform of policy proposals and strategies based on the most problematic areas in the work of business entities. Rule of law, access to finance, entrepreneurial culture, fair competition and enabling legal and regulatory environment titles on these platforms.

The creation of the policy proposals and the organization of the event is supported by the project “Promoting social dialogue”, financed by the European Union and implemented by the International Labour Organisation. This is the first of a series of promotional events to be held in several cities in Macedonia, which will cover a number of companies.

In this region there are approximately 2300 micro, small and medium companies. The most common industries in which they are active are wholesale and retail trade, manufacturing, transport and storage, electricity supply, gas, steam and air conditioning.
