Ohridska Banka holds a strategic approach to social responsibility which for years promoted and indicated successful socially responsible practices in our country towards the relationship of employees and society in relation to the market, which can be used as a positive example and motivation for other banks.
Permanently developing practices of socially responsible behavior in its operations, Ohridska Banka continues to incorporate the principles into their business strategy in order to affirm its commitment to sustainable development in an ethical and transparent way, at the same time promote the interests of its stakeholders. Ohridska Banka follows international standards and thus proves that corporate culture and human capital are the most important part of the company. Being a bank with numerous recognitions represents an engine and a challenge for the bank to continue to improve practices for social responsibility.
Recognizing the efforts of offering unique products according to the needs and expectations of citizens, the Business Confederation of Macedonia gave the international award for social responsibility to Ohridska Banka Societe Generale concept “Plan za stan” (Plan for Home) categorizing it as a project of social interest that has contributed to the market and customers.
The concept “Plan for Home”, including credit life insurance, Ohridska Banka Societe Generale unveiled early last year in order to provide customers a unique product of mortgages which features the longest period of guaranteed interest rate, transparency and carelessness because customers certainly know the amount of their monthly installment.
Ohridska Banka Societe Generale allows customers that apply for a home loan “Plan for Home in 2030,” to choose between two sets of life insurance, including: basic package for credit life insurance with an insurance premium of 0.44% per annum of the loan amount or the full package for credit life insurance with an insurance premium of 0.85% per annum of the loan amount.

This is the second award Ohridska Banka Societe Generale receives for its corporate social responsibility. In 2015, Ohridska Banka Societe Generale won the award for social responsibility in the category Market relations project “Insurance of credit and debit cards.”
